Fort Tustan (ENG) HD

Ancient mountain town Tustan. This is one of the first Ukrainian customs houses. Many centuries ago an old Salt trade Way went through its rocks. Fort Tustan is located in Lviv Oblast west Ukraine. The place being at status of historical reserve is on the outskirts of the village of Urych. This military structure started its existing in 1333, being spoken of in "Tale Of Bygone Years" as Tustan. The fort was built on top of those sharp rocks as an entrance gate to Galicia, a small medieval kingdom in Eastern Europe. At the same time 50 soldiers were in charge, taking custom-house fees and watching approaching enemies.

At present Tustan is just an open museum. The only way to get here is by car. The fastest and most convenient road goes from Truskavets, a resort town.
